Christopher K. Koutsouris Settles Negligence Case Resulting In Death For $1,000,000

Christopher K. Koutsouris announced that he has settled a commercial premises liability slip & fall negligence case resulting in catastrophic injuries and death for $1,000,000.00. The Plaintiff was caused to fall down two flights of steps due to a negligently constructed and maintained stairwell of the commercial premises. As a result of the fall, the Plaintiff suffered multiple traumatic orthopedic injuries. Despite surgical intervention, the Plaintiff unfortunately suffered from a cascade of trauma that resulted in internal bleeding, infection onset and multiple organ failure. The Plaintiff eventually succumbed to these injuries.

Mr. Koutsouris has commented: “The resolution of this matter resulted from the efforts and dedication of the attorneys and staff of Dasti, Murphy, McGuckin, Ulaky, Koutsouris & Connors, who worked tirelessly to ensure that some semblance of closure was brought to the surviving spouse and estate of the decedent. I would especially like to recognize the dedication and perseverance of our experienced personal injury trial attorney Timothy J. McNichols, Esquire, who stood by my side throughout each proceeding in this matter and who assisted me in achieving this outcome for our client. This was a tragic but wholly preventable accident and it must serve as an unfortunate reminder of the perils faced by each of us as we go about our lives. While this settlement is substantial, it comes at a terrible loss. The surviving spouse worked tirelessly in honor of the decedent to assist us in achieving this settlement.”

Dasti, Murphy, McGuckin, Ulaky, Koutsouris & Connors is dedicated to obtaining justice for those who are injured by the negligent conduct of others.  We recognize that no amount of money can replace a loved one or reverse the disabling effects of a tragic injury, but unfortunately it is the only form of justice that our system of law can provide.
